Thammasat University’s Faculty of Political Science extends a warm welcome to overseas visiting scholars and PhD students who journey to Thailand for short-term research visits. These fellows, whether visiting professors or researchers, will find a supportive environment where they can collect data, conduct research, and engage in scholarly exchange. At least one permanent faculty member acts as a host, coordinator, or advisor for visiting fellows. This personalized support ensures a smooth experience during their stay. Visiting fellows have the opportunity to share their expertise and perspectives. They can teach classes or present their research findings in public forums organized by the Faculty. Furthermore, the Faculty provides comprehensive support. This encompasses library services, online databases, internet and email facilities, as well as office space and supplies.

Visiting Postdoctoral Fellowship
To foster academic collaboration, research productivity, and the development of international scholarly networks, starting from 2025, the Faculty of Political Science at Thammasat University is launching a fellowship program for foreign scholars under the age of 40 who have earned a doctoral degree from a university outside Thailand. The program offers two types of fellowships: a six-month fellowship (with funding of up to 150,000 THB) and a twelve-month fellowship (with funding of up to 300,000 THB). Aimed at early-career scholars, the initiative seeks to welcome these individuals to conduct research at the Faculty, engage in intellectual exchange with faculty members and students, and take part in the Faculty’s academic community.
Applications for the postdoctoral visiting researcher fellowship are now open and will be accepted until December 1, 2025. Interested applicants can find more information and download the relevant documents from below.
