Would you like to find out more about Drive a Land Rover? This prestigious brand has been available since 1978 if it began as being a subsidiary company of British Leyland. British Leyland started in 1968 and have become partly nationalised in 1975. The growing name of these new subsidiary resulted in they changed their name officially for the Rover Group in 1986. Originally, Land Rover began as a model of car as opposed to being an entire brand, though the name became symbolic of the entire company. It began as a selection of four-wheel drive vehicles which could be driven on all terrains. They has been a hit with farmers and those that lived in rural areas, where the giant wheels and resilient handling meant they may make their way to avoid it of perhaps the deepest mud puddles.

First designed in 1948, the vehicle was inspired by the army vehicles of the World war 2, particularly the American Jeeps that could carry military personnel across rugged terrains in mud and snow. The initial prototype is made and nicknamed 'Centre Steer' using a lightweight rustproof body. Their cars have already been seen to withstand test of energy and so are better known for their resilience with the company once boasting that nearly seventy-five per cent with their vehicles remained in usable condition. They launched Series I with the Amsterdam Motor Show and Series II premiered decade later in 1958. Series III hit the showrooms in 1971 with the introduction in the Discovery model in 1989. Their most current introductions have already been the Range Rover Sport and the using Jaguar engines in new models.

Second just to the Jeep brand, Land Rover leasing and purchasing remains to be extremely popular with city and country drivers alike. It is just about the most popular and trusted brands of 4 by four cars entirely on the UK market today.
